The Mission of the Social Services Department is to provide information, interpretation and development of recommendations to national administration and designated territorial personnel on a wide range of health and human service issues. Provides representation of The Salvation Army’s interests to Congress, the federal government and national peer organizations. Areas of involvement are: substance abuse ministries, correctional services, sexual trafficking and survivor services, abuse, older adult ministries, NHQ volunteers

Also available is the "Prayer Guide for the Victims of Sex Trafficking," an empowering work that offers prompts for powerful prayer. Fifteen thousand copies were distributed last year helping people around the world unite in supplication and support of those still suffering.
